The Fourth of July is tomorrow, which may mean that San Benito County residents will be asking how they can celebrate the coming holiday with their community.

The Hollister Parks and Recreation Department is organizing a 4th of July Kiddie Parade. Check-in is at 9 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Building and line up will start at 9:30 a.m. with the parade beginning at 10 a.m. on the corner of Monterey and Haydon streets.

The Honor Guard will lead the Parade followed by Betsy Ross and Uncle Sam, and the Cub Scouts holding the Kiddie Parade banner.

The Hollister Parks and Recreation Department is also organizing a 4th of July fireworks show at the Hollister Airport. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the fireworks show is scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m.

The San Benito County Express is offering free shuttle service to the event from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The two buses will pick up attendees approximately every 20 minutes at the following locations.

  • Target Parking Lot: Across from Target on Hillock Drive.
  • Briggs Building parking garage: On the corner of Fourth and San Benito streets.
  • Courthouse parking lot: On the corner of Fourth and West Streets
  • Quick Stop gas station: On the corner of Fourth Street and San Juan Hollister Road.
