A water polo skills camp at San Benito High School will teach skills to boys and girls and introduce them to the game, whether they have previous experience with the sport or not. The camp will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 20 and 21 from 4-6 p.m.
Current and former Baler water polo players will be on hand as instructors at the campus pool. Participants are asked to bring a towel, swim suit, goggles, swim cap and water bottle.
Skill to be taught include water polo fundamentals such as mastery of the "egg beater" — a style of treading water in the pool — as well as ball passing and shooting and understanding the rues of the game.
Participants must be able to swim the entire length of the pool and pay $15 in cash or check to San Benito Aquatics. Scholarships are available.
