Jose Luis Avila, a resident of Hollister, California, passed away peacefully in San Jose on January 24, 2026. He was born on May 8, 1961, in Mission, Texas, to Tomas and Antonia Avila. He is survived by his three children: sons Nathan Avila and Eric Avila, and daughter Melinda Khalees, as well as their spouses, Elizabeth Avila and Emanuel Khalees. He is also survived by his brothers, Jesus Avila and Javier Avila, and his sisters, Maria Pedregron and Ninon Avila Lazaro. His beloved grandchildren include Olivia Khalees, Mariah Khalees, Maya Avila, and Valeria Avila.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to everyone who supported them during this difficult time. Jose will be remembered for his joyful and kind soul.
