A five-day period of wet weather is expected to start Feb. 15 and last through most of the work week, according to he National Weather Service forecast.

A cold front sweeping across California threatens heavy rainfall from the afternoon of Feb. 15 through Feb. 19.

Expect cold temperatures dropping to the low 40s on Feb. 17, so dress warmly with layers when going outside. 

If you are driving this week and getting to work, please drive slowly getting to your destination.

Here is the four-day forecast: 

Feb. 15: Rain, southeast wind 6 to 8 mph. Expect between one-half and three-quarters of an inch. Expect temperatures from a low of 46°F to a high of 61°F.

Feb. 16 (President’s Day): Rain again, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm, with southeast winds ranging 5 to 10 mph. Expect temperatures from a low of 46°F to a high of 53°F.

Feb. 17: Showers, thunderstorms possible. Expect temperatures from a low of 42​​°F high of 51​​°F. 

Feb. 18: Rain likely. Expect temperatures from a low of 38​​°F high of 53​​°F.

Feb. 19: Rain, Expect temperatures from low 38​​°F high of 51°F.
