The nonprofit Aromas Hills Arts (AHA) will present the 15th annual Aromas Country Garden Tour on Saturday, May 12 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The organiztaion has a mission to inspire and celebrate the creation of art by providing support, education and enrichment for its members and the community.
The tour could be called the art of gardening, as the gardens range from one lovingly cared for on the property of a landscape design consultant to a little farm with animals, but that’s not the only reason to call it an art, because artists are nestled right in the gardens, as well.
Guests will find authors, fiber artists, ceramics, and oil and water painters showing and selling their art.
This popular tour attracts visitors from locally and far away. Organizers say it would be a treat for attendees to take their mother for Mother’s Day weekend to enjoy the ambience all gardens have to offer; the colors, the aroma, the unique and exotic plants, the bushes and trees, and perhaps find a unique hand-created gift for her.
Tickets for the tour can be purchased for $15 ($10 for seniors) on the day of the tour at the Aromas Grange, 400 Rose Ave. Aromas. Guests will receive a booklet with a photo and description of each garden and a map of the tour.
“Just pick your garden that most interests you or see all 10 gardens,” said event chairwoman Linda Bjornson, who noted that the local 4-H organization will be at the Grange with their plant sale and will sell box lunches for $6.
