Sara Maldonado, 56, of Hollister, California, passed away on May 29, 2026, in Palo Alto, California. A funeral service will be held at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home on June 12, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. Following the service, burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery at 9:00 a.m.
Sara was born in Hollister, California, to Guillermo and Aurelia Maldonado on May 29, 1970. She attended San Benito High School and graduated in 1988. She went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Forensic Psychology from California State University, Stanislaus, graduating with honors in 2009.
Sara worked for Merced County Human Services Agency as an Employment and Training Specialist for 15 years. She enjoyed hiking, traveling, crafting, reading, and creating art. Sara was known for her strength, kindness, and dedication to her family and community.
Sara is survived by her daughter, Savannah Graham-Glazbrook; her son-in-law, Brian Glazbrook; and their son, Chase Glazbrook. She is also survived by her son, Colten Graham. She is further survived by her siblings: ● Miguel Maldonado and his children ● Lupe Maldonado and her children ● Gina Munoz, her husband, Salvio Munoz, and their children ● Gilbert Maldonado, his wife, Julie Maldonado, and their children ● Estella Shackelford, her husband, Charlie Shackelford, and their children ● Sonia Dorado, her husband, Francisco Dorado, and their children ● Victor Maldonado, his wife, Marcy Maldonado, and their children ● Guillermo Maldonado, his wife, Araceli Maldonado, and their children.
Memorial donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Stanford Hospital and the Blake Wilbur Cancer Center for their compassionate care and support. The family kindly requests the guests wear pink or green, her favorite colors.
