Hazel Hawkins Healthcare is proud to announce its participation in Golden State Start, California’s first-in-the-nation diaper access initiative, in partnership with Baby2Baby and the State of California.
Through the program, every newborn delivered at Hazel Hawkins Healthcare will be eligible to receive 400 free Baby2Baby diapers at no cost to the family. Diapers are provided around the time of hospital discharge, helping ensure families return home with an important essential for their newborn.
“We are excited to be part of this important program and to provide an additional resource for families welcoming a new baby,” said Mary Casillas, CEO of Hazel Hawkins Healthcare.
Supporting the health and well-being of mothers, babies and families is an important part of our commitment to the community. This partnership allows us to provide families with practical support from the very beginning.”
Launched by the State of California in partnership with Baby2Baby, Golden State Start is the first statewide program of its kind in the nation. The initiative is designed to help ease the financial burden on new parents while supporting the health and well-being of newborns and their families.
There are no income limits, applications or additional paperwork required for families to participate. Babies born at participating hospitals are eligible to receive the diapers as part of the hospital discharge process.
Hazel Hawkins Healthcare is proud to join hospitals throughout California in supporting Golden State Start and helping local families begin their journey home with their newborns with one less expense to worry about.
