The Rotary Club of Hollister invites runners and walkers to the 43rd Annual Mission 10 Race on Saturday, January 30, 2027, in historic San Juan Bautista, California. This popular Central Coast tradition combines scenic courses, friendly competition, and community spirit while raising funds for scholarships and charitable programs benefiting San Benito County.
Starting and finishing in front of the historic Mission San Juan Bautista, the event welcomes participants of all ages and abilities, from competitive runners to families enjoying a day of fitness and fun. Courses showcase the area’s picturesque farmland, rolling hills, and historic charm.
Four Race Distances for Every Level
Participants can choose from four events:
- Half Marathon – USATF-certified course through scenic countryside
- 10-Mile Race – A beautiful course featuring rolling hills
- 5K Run/Walk – A fun, accessible distance for runners and walkers
- Kids 1-Mile Fun Run – A family-friendly favorite
The event also features the popular Theme Team Competition, encouraging groups to dress in creative costumes and compete for team trophies.
Registered participants receive a long-sleeve performance shirt and finisher medal.
The Half Marathon, 10-Mile, and 5K races are professionally timed, with age-group
awards.
Racing for a Greater Purpose
For more than a century, the Rotary Club of Hollister has supported education, youth development, and charitable initiatives throughout San Benito County. Proceeds from the Mission 10 Race help fund scholarships for graduating high school seniors and grants to local nonprofit organizations.
During the 2025–2026 year, Rotary provided scholarships to more than 30 San Benito High School graduates and a student from Anzar High School, while also supporting a Rotary Global Scholarship recipient pursuing studies at Oxford University.
Additional organizations and initiatives supported included United for San Benito, CASA of San Benito County, Bulldog Boxing, Girls Inc., BenitoLink, Youth Alliance’s Guitars for Kids program, and San Benito County’s 12 Days of Giving, among other community and humanitarian projects.
“The Mission 10 brings people together for a great day of running in one of California’s most beautiful historic communities,” said Bill Tiffany, Mission 10 Race Director and Rotary member. “What makes it even more meaningful is knowing that every registration helps us invest in local students, families, and organizations making a difference in San Benito County.”
