The Community Foundation for San Benito County (CFFSBC) announced they have hired former Hollister Downtown Association Executive Director Brenda Weatherly. Weatherly will act as Director of Donor and Community Services, a new position within the organization. She will be managing and supporting over 150 funds currently held at the Community Foundation, along with President and CEO Gary Byrne.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to continue to work in this great community,” Weatherly said.
Foundation Director, Bob Tiffany, commented on the foundation website saying, “Brenda will be a great addition to the Foundation. A lot of us have known her for years, and she’s well-respected within the community.”
Another big change comes to the Community Foundation as Director of Operations & Grants, Curt Mead, will be retiring from the Community Foundation in mid-January. During his time with the Foundation, Curt has helped to streamline the day-to-day operations of the Foundation and consolidate activities involved with the Community Impact Matching Grant Program.
“It has been a pleasure serving as Director of Operations & Grants for the Community Foundation for San Benito County. I especially appreciated serving with the Grants Committee which was comprised of a committed and dedicated group of volunteers that made shepherding this group a delight. I considered it a privilege to work for an organization that is dedicated to building a stronger community through the web of non-profit organizations serving those less fortunate. Until our paths cross again…” said Mead.
Byrne said in the announcement on the website, “We wish him all the best, spending more time with his growing family.”
