Leslie L. Garratt Post #6359, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Ladies Auxiliary will hold a Veterans' Day Ceremony to honor our veterans and war dead in San Juan Bautista. The event will be held on Tuesday, November 11 at 11:11 a.m. at gravesites in the cemetery in San Juan Bautista. The ceremony will be followed by brunch/lunch across the street in the Post Hall, 58 Monterey St. The community is invited to attend.
Veterans Day, honoring veterans of all wars in which the United States of America was involved, was formerly called Armistice Day. The ceremony at Post 6359 recalls the armistice ending the hostilities of World War I on the eleventh minute of the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month.
