Every Woman Counts (EWC) is a program of the Department of Health Care Services Cancer Detection and Treatment Branch (CDTB). The mission is to save lives by preventing and reducing the devastating effects of cancer for all Californians through early detection, diagnosis, and treatment, with special emphasis on the underserved.
EWC provides clinical breast exams, mammograms, pelvic exams, and Pap tests to Californias underserved women. Please see the website to learn more about program eligibility requirements.

Every Woman Counts Tailored Health Education: One component of EWC is the Breast Cancer and Cervical Cancer Prevention Education Program. The Central Coast region of EWC serves Monterey, San Benito, Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties and provides tailored education about breast cancer and cervical cancer prevention testing in local communities to women who are 21 to 65 years old.
