The grand-opening of the new Starbucks drive-thru on Airline Highway drew crowds of coffee lovers as early as 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, as the national chain formally opened its location in the Nob Hill shopping center.

The 2,000-square-foot facility, which replaces the smaller Starbucks across the parking lot, will utilize the old bank drive-up window as a way for patrons to order their drinks without leaving their vehicles. It is not the only drive-thru option in Hollister, of course, as Java Express continues to operate two locations in town.

The former bank building will once again house a bank eventually, as Rabobank plans to move into the adjacent, approximately 3,000 square feet of space.
