Focus on the Beef Cow – Workshop

The University of California Cooperative Extension and University of Wyoming Cooperative Extension are working with the Monterey Cattlemen’s Association and Monterey Cattlewomen’s Association to hold a workshop titled, “Focus on the Beef Cow” on August 16, 2017 in King City and August 17, 2017 in Arroyo Grande from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm with lunch to follow. The King City workshop will be located at the King City Fairgrounds Orradre Building at 625 Division Street.  The Arroyo Grande workshop will be located at the Arroyo Grande Hall Association at 707 Huasana Road.   Topics covered will include economic ranch tools, cow herd nutrition, risk management, drought and wet cycles on the Central Coast and risks for livestock production systems, local livestock nutritional and health issues, and invasive weeds on rangelands.
