The Hollister Police Animal Care and Services Bureau is offering free pet spay and neuter certificates valued at $75.

To help inspire pet owners to take personal responsibility for preventing unwanted puppies and kittens, the certificates valued at $75 off any spay or neuter beginning Feb. 10. Certificates are limited, so don’t hesitate.

When you consider that two unaltered cats and their offspring can produce 420,000 cats, and two unaltered dogs and their offspring can produce 67,000 dogs in just six years, there is simply no reason not to spay or neuter. These staggering numbers cost cities and counties thousands of dollars each year, and more than 5 million animals are euthanized in the United States alone.

To obtain your spay or neuter coupon,  stop by the Animal Care and Services located at 1331 South St. in Hollister between the hours of 12p.m. to 5p.m. or for more information contact the Hollister Police Animal Care and Services Department at (831) 636-4320.

This offer is made possible by various donations received to Animal Care and Services throughout the year.
