A hastily organized protest against the federal immigration enforcement agency known as ICE drew about a dozen people to the intersection of Hwy 25 and Nash Road on Jan. 8.

The protest followed the fatal shooting of a woman in Minnesota by an ICE officer. Videos showed she drove toward him and struck him with her vehicle.

Minnesota officials and others claim the woman was murdered, sparking nationwide protests.

Trump administration officials and federal authorities have claimed the officer acted in self-defense.
