The San Benito County Chamber of Commerce and America’s Job Center of California are sponsoring a Job Fair on Oct. 20. The event will feature San Benito County businesses that are hiring so that more residents can “Live, Work and Play” in San Benito County, a goal of the job fair.
It will be held at the Veteran’s Memorial Building, 649 San Benito St., with admission free for job seekers. Veterans with military ID are invited to come early (3-4 p.m.) to talk not only with potential employers but also Veterans' Services. The time for the general public is from 4-7 p.m.
Juli Vieira, Chamber CEO, said the response has been favorable with local companies and sign-ups have begun. "Our first two large corporate sponsors are Teknova and Local Union #393, which we appreciate their support," Vieira said in a press relese. Businesses that have already turned in their applications for a booth are North Coast Medical, Teknova, Visiting Angels, Brent Redmond Transportation, Local Union #393, Graniterock and Veterans Services.
For those who have job opportunities, booth space is available. Contact the Chamber office at 831-637-5315 for information and an application for a booth and/or sponsorship opportunities.
