With a mariachi band and banana bread on hand, Citas Cafe Coffee & Pastries held its grand opening on Nov. 16.

Owner Maria Mendoza told BenitoLink, “My dream of opening a coffee shop came to me early, before I started working in the industry.”

The cafe is located at 1715 Airline Highway and is open 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
