Starting Tuesday, Sept. 6, , San Benito County commuters will have more options to ride stress-free from Hollister and San Juan Bautista to Gilroy and back by taking County Express.
Funded with one-time Cap and Trade funds distributed by the State of California, County Express is establishing new trips to the Gilroy Transit Center and back, providing San Benito County residents with additional chances to connect with Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) routes. T
his funding gives County Express an opportunity to offer expanded service to see if there is enough demand in the community to run the added trips long term. In addition to updating the inter-county schedule to add these trips, County Express has made small changes to the existing runs to help address some trip connection concerns that have come up over time. County Express schedules have been changed to match up with adjacent transit providers such as VTA and Caltrain.
