20th Annual Unified Gifted Games

Hollister High School will host the 20th Annual Unified Gifted Games this Friday, May 9 at Andy Hardin Stadium. The Unified Gifted Games is an Olympic-style event for students with disabilities to participate in friendly competition. The event will feature nearly 600 athletes, from preschoolers to adults, from San Benito County and Gilroy. The community is invited to come cheer on the athletes.

Schedule:
10-10:15 a.m. Opening Ceremony (National Anthem performed by HHS Transition Student, Ayla Remland and HHS ASL students; Posting of the Colors by Post 9242)
10:15 -10:35 1/2 Mile
10:35-11:40 Field Events (Soccer, Javelin Throw, Long Jump, Football Toss,
Baseball, Corn Hole, Inflatable Sports Games)
11:40-11:45 Unified Cheer and Baler Cheer Performance
11:45-noon Wheelchair races
Noon–12:20 50-Yard Dash (Elementary schools)
12:20-12:40 100-Yard Dash (Middle/High schools)
12:20-1:20 Lunch/clean-up
