This year we served 171 girls in the high school and middle school. Additionally, we hired 4 Youth Leaders from San Benito High to facilitate the current middle school programs. Our programs challenge girls to explore their potential, attend college, build fulfilling careers and expand their sense of what is possible. Girls Inc. of the Central Coast is an affiliate of Girls Incorporated, a national organization that has been providing programs for girls since 1864 in the United States and Canada. As an affiliate of the national organization, Girls Incorporated of the Central Coast is part of a national network of girl-serving organizations that deliver innovative, research-based programs designed specially to address the strengths and needs of girls ages 8 – 18 and to prepare them for economic independence and confident adulthood. In 2014we started the programs in San Benito County. We are currently working in with 171 girls from San Benito High School, Rancho San Justo Middle School, Ladd Lane Elementary School and Calaveras Elementary School.
