Dig into Reading!

Did you know children who read over the summer gain reading skills, while those who don’t often backslide? Some experts estimate that the “summer slide” can cost the equivalent of two months of instructional time!

Help your child stay on track this summer by encouraging reading for fun throughout the summer months. The San Benito County Free Library can help!

We have planned a fun and FREE program to encourage children from birth through 9th grade to enjoy reading all summer long. Registration begins June 20th at the Library.

Special activities at the Library include:
June 20 (3:30 – 5:30) — Crafts and Movie Day featuring “Wreck-It Ralph”
June 27 (3:30 – 4:30) — Landscape Painting for Kids
July 11 (3:30 – 4:15) — Dig into Gardening
July 18 (3:30 – 4:30) — Carnival and Ice Cream Social
July 31 (3:00 – 4:00) — Life Along the Anza Trail
