FREE Household Hazardous Waste Recycling Event

All San Benito County residents can dispose of up to 15 gallons/125 pounds of household hazardous waste on Saturday, July 20th from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.at the John Smith Road Landfill (2650 John Smith Road, Hollister). Please bring your CA Driver’s License or ID indicating you are a resident of San Benito County. We accept ammonia, bleach, bathroom/kitchen cleaners, aerosol sprays, polishes, fluorescent lamps/bulbs, nail polish/nail polish remover, batteries, smoke detectors, medications, sharps (in approved sharp containers), pesticides, weed killers, motor oil/oil filters, computer monitors, CPU’s, TV’s, VCR’s, copiers, cell phones, paint/paint thinners, wood stains, glues/adhesives, solvents and more.

Household Hazardous Waste Recycling Events are held the 3rd Saturday of every month from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
