For centuries now the Old Mission of San Juan Bautista has been known as the Mission of music. This holiday season, the Mission Parish is happy to present two unique musical events that will help you find the Spirit of Christmas!

Mezzo soprano Laure de Marcellus’ dark, velvety timbre and riveting stage presence delight audiences and critics wherever she performs, whether opera roles, song recitals or sacred music. She was born in Geneva, Switzerland and studied in Israel, New York and Munich. Miss de Marcellus sang at the Deutsche Opera in Germany, and has performed in France, Switzerland, Austria and Singapore before she relocated to California where she currently resides. She is delighted to be performing at the Mission with her longtime collaborator Alberto Urroz. This Christmas program dedicated to Mary and Her child.
