Hollister Fire Department 50th Anniversary Celebration

To commemorate its 150th anniversary, the Hollister Fire Department invites the public to a celebratory event during Fire Prevention Month, on Saturday, October 18, 2025. Held ahead of the December anniversary date, this event provides an opportunity for the community to join in honoring our department’s past, present, and future.

Event Schedule & Parade Route
Parade- Lineup at 1:30 p.m., step-off at 2 p.m.
Ceremony- Program begins at 3 p.m. honoring retirees and swearing in promotions from 2024 and 2025
Open House- Immediately following the ceremony at Hollister Fire Station 1
Parade Route (proposed): starting from Dunne Park (600 West Street)
1. Depart Dunne Park via Seventh Street
2. Proceed east on Seventh Street toward downtown Hollister
3. Turn north on San Benito Street toward Fifth Street
4. Turn east on Fifth Street towards Hollister Fire Station 1.
5. Finish at Hollister Fire Station 1, located at 110 Fifth Street, Hollister.

About the Anniversary Celebration
To allow maximum participation, Hollister Fire will arrange station coverage via partner agencies during the first two hours of the event so that all on-duty personnel can participate in the parade and ceremony.
“This 150th anniversary is a tribute to the long tradition of service in our community,” said Chief Goulding. “We encourage everyone (firefighters, families, residents) to come out, walk with us, and celebrate together.”
All are welcome. Bring your families and stay after the ceremony for refreshments, food trucks, station tours, bounce house, and fellowship.
