Hoophouse workshop for farmers

Michael Halperin has been farming organically in Hollister for almost 30 years. He will share his experiences with hoophouse construction, crop rotation, pest control and other aspects of growing crops in hoophouses. Hoophouses, also known as high tunnels, are plastic covered structures used to extend the growing season. This event is free and is being held in collaboration with the San Benito Resource Conservation District and The Natural Resources Conservation Service.
