KQKE San Benito Community Radio Meeting and Potluck

All are invited to attend the KQKE 97.5fm (The Quake) Community Meeting and Potluck at Mr. O’s Academy, 360 Sixth St. at 6 p.m., on Nov.25 to hear about our progress and goals and to include the participation of more volunteers.
Come learn about what we have been doing, what we intend to do and find your place in the creation of Community Radio for our area.
KQKE is a volunteer-based, non-commercial radio station which received an FCC license early this year. It is a project of Community Media Access Partnership, which is contributing funds to build and equip the station, which will be run by volunteers.
In the coming months we will be renovating our building, creating programming, raising funding, managing and operating the station. We know it is a big project which will take the work of many people to make community radio a reality for our community.
How might you be involved? What skills, knowledge and ideas might you be able to contribute?”
We are planning to be broadcasting, podcasting, and streaming content on the internet in the next 6 months.
It is our desire to reflect the community and to do that we especially need more participation from Women, Latinos, and Youth.
Be part of the strengthening of our community through shared information and experience through community radio!
