Planting and Protecting Oaks: A Hands-on Workshop for Rural Land Managers

Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Rd., Morgan Hill, CA

The morning classroom session will be indoors and will include presentations on oaks and carbon sequestration; riparian and wildlife benefits; acorn collection and planting; protective structures for seedlings;  fire management issues; and companion plantings for oaks.

The afternoon session will be held at a local working ranch and will provide hands-on demonstrations and activities; participants will be asked to carpool to the afternoon site.
