Raising the LGBTQ+ Rainbow Flag in the City of Hollister

For the second time in Hollister’s history, the LGBTQ+ Rainbow Flag will be raised and displayed from City Hall in Hollister, California.
On June 28, 1969 The Stonewall Riots took place at the Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village, New York City. This event is known as the catalyst of the LGBTQ+ Civil Rights Movement.
In an effort to recognize LGBTQ+ Pride Month and pay tribute to the Stonewall Riots, the LGBTQ+ Rainbow Flag will be hung from the flagpole at City Hall in The City Of Hollister for the entire month of June.
On June 27, 2021 at 10:00 a,m., there will be a special flag raising ceremony and celebration to follow.
