Rocket into Scouting

Come see what Scouting in San Benito County is all about. The San Benito District of the Boy Scouts of America is hosting a “Rocket into Scouting” program to take our Spring sign-ups to new heights. With a focus on fun, this program invites families in our community to experience the adventures that only Scouting can offer.
Some of the highlights of the Rocket into Scouting event: FREE model rocket build and launch, archery, monkey bridge, Hollister Police and Fire department's, CHP, amateur radio, state parks and much more! Lunch is available for purchase but everything else is FREE. Participating Scouts that bring a non-Scout friend also get a special edition patch
All we ask of participating families is to have great time. Through this simple interaction, parents will see the experience, friendships, and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities that Scouting can offer their children. It’s sort of a “test drive” of the Scouting experience showing parents that Scouting will foster their child’s creativity, initiative, and sense of wonder.

Location: San Benito High School, Soccer Field
Parking: Ask that all Scout families park in the LDS church parking lot after unloading, if needed.
Cost: FREE for currently registered Scouts and all non-Scouts, Kinder to 8th grade, includes rocket kit
