Self-awareness and Safety Fair

On February 9 from noon to 3 p.m. Samantha Slykas will be hosting her second-year self-awareness event in the main hall of the Veterans Memorial Building in the main hall. Like last year she will cover the same important topics, and will also include more, such as different types of bullying, harassment, strangers, self-defense, fire safety, first aid, mental health, gun violence, substance abuse, personal space, and more.  There will be demonstrations and presentations from helpful groups such as Community Solutions, Bryan Stow Foundation, Chinese Kempo, Youth Alliance, Community Service leader Dee Slykas, and other dedicated people.
