Youth Rally-Hollister “Wish List”

Youth Rally-Hollister Planning Team, are coming together to provide a YOUTH RALLY for all San Benito County youth on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Hollister. The YOUTH RALLY is for youth and coordinated by youth to promote a healthy and active lifestyle free of violence, drugs, and alcohol. Events include: Dance competitions, Battle of the Bands, Art Wall, Poetry Slam, Tie Dye Station, Craft/Recycling Art Table, Sports Challenges, 3on3 Basketball, Pick-up Volleyball, Dunk Tank, 50 foot Ice Cream Sundae, Kids Carnival, Jump Houses, Face Painting, Treasure Chest (Free Flea Market) and much more.

Not only do we need volunteers and community role models to help make this event a huge success, but there are also many ways to help that do not require a considerable time commitment! With this in mind, our coordinators have compiled a “Wish List” to show how your expertise, your “connections” or even the stuff you have sitting in your garage can make a difference in reaching out to our youth!

Wish List:

Paint and paintbrushes or painting supplies
Food, Snacks and Drinks
Raffle Prizes such as: Apple iPod, CD Player, Bike, Gift Certificates
Awards or plaques for event winners
Event sponsor (Your name may be advertised on event t-shirt and/or announcement of sponsorship during the event, and a thank you given in our local newspaper!)
Photographer or videographer to highlight the day’s events

Agencies and youth participating in the Youth Rally-Hollister truly appreciate your generous tax deductible contribution of any amount small or large. Please mail checks to me, made out to the Community Foundation with “Youth Rally” in the memo section. We have also set up an account for your tax deductible donation with the Community Foundation at: http://cffsbc.org. You will find a “Donate Here” tab on the bottom right of the home page. For those with the ability to support on a broader spectrum, sponsorship levels are as follows: Bronze $500, Silver $1,000, Gold $2,500, Platinum $5,000. Not only will your name appear as one of our valued donors at the rally and on all publications but you will also receive a letter of acknowledgement for your support.

Vision: That the residents of San Benito County will rise up and meet the needs of all youth in our community by providing free activities throughout the year, on a monthly or quarterly basis, for youth who may not be able to afford them. To create fun and engaging activities throughout the year that will instill values, community connections and leadership opportunities for the youth of San Benito County.

Mission: Adults would mentor youth and provide them with positive role models who would encourage them in their physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being. Our goal is to make this a FREE event and in order to make this happen we need community volunteers to organize and resource their contacts to donate time, raffle items, games, activities, and more. The ultimate outcome is that all youth will be equipped with the 41 Developmental assets which include: Family Support, Empowerment, Boundaries & Expectations, Constructive use of Time, Commitment to Learning, Positive Values, Social Competencies Positive Identity.
