There have been 628 false alarms since the beginning of this year, 93% of all alarms dispatched. In response, the City of Hollister will be issuing Administrative Citations for unregistered and false alarms.

 Under the current City of Hollister Municipal Code, alarm owners are responsible for registering their alarms with the Hollister Police Department. The alarm application can also be found here: http://www.hollister.ca.gov/Site/html/gov/office/police/pdforms.asp .

Under the current provisions of the code, owners are permitted one false alarm in a three month period. After three false alarms the city can order the alarm removed.

Please help the Police Department keep our neighborhoods safe by registering your alarm and working to eliminate time consuming false alarms.
