The Hollister Police Department is asking for witnesses who might have information about a Feb. 6 shooting to come forward.
Around 11:36 p.m. on Feb 6 Hollister Police officers responded to the 100 block of Third Street following a report of shots being fired. Upon arrival, officers contacted a male juvenile suffering from one gunshot wound. The gunshot victim was treated on scene by the Hollister Fire Department and American Medical Response, and then was transported to a nearby trauma center. The injury does not appear to be life threatening.
The initial investigation revealed the victim was outside an apartment near the roadway, when witnesses described a pickup truck driving by and an unknown occupant firing multiple rounds at the victim. The vehicle then fled the scene and the suspect(s), as well as the vehicle, are still outstanding.
