A Hollister woman facing charges of performing lewd acts with a child under 14 and sharing sexually exploitative content involving a minor online is back in custody after her bail was revoked.

Fidelina Perez, 31, was arrested on May 15 after an investigation by the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office. She was charged on May 19.
According to San Benito County Superior Court records, the alleged crimes were committed on or around April 28 against a three-year-old girl.
Perez, who was released on bail on July 7, was taken back into custody following her July 14 court hearing. She is scheduled to appear in court on July 21.
Judge Omar Rodriguez did not indicate in court records why Perez was back in custody.
The court previously granted her bail at $75,000 with the conditions that she must:
- Be GPS monitored
- Have no contact with the alleged victim
- Adhere to the civil protection order of the victim
- Have no access to the internet, internet devices or anonymous web browsing
- Be subject to search and seizure
Perez’s lawyer, Brian Worthington, filed the bail motion stating that Perez was not a flight risk or at risk of committing a violent offense because she was an employed mother of four children who had no previous criminal record.
Worthington also explained that Perez has deep ties to the community and claimed that none of the facts of the case, or her background, indicate that she is a danger.
Marcelina Volanti, Perez’s sister, wrote an email which was attached to the bail motion offering to have Perez stay in her house if the court were to prohibit Perez from having any contact with her children.
Mario Martinez, the alleged victim’s lawyer, also filed a declaration in support of Perez’s lawyer’s bail motion.
According to court records, the victim and her father did not express “concerns or reservations” over the possibility of Perez being released from custody.
