Insight’s Vision for Hazel Hawkins Memorial Insight Health System proposes to continue Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital in perpetuity, consistent with our presence in all our communities, through a conversion into a not-for-profit, California 501(c)(3).
The nonprofit will be guided by a board with community members and will expand primary and specialty services, such as neurosurgery and oncology, to meet the community’s needs.
Highlights of Insight’s proposal include:
● Continuing all service lines including maternal health, obstetrics, and labor and delivery services;
● Creating a $50M capital expenditure budget detailing investment in facilities and operations;
● Collaborating with employees and the unions to create a stable work environment;
● Developing a community advisory board with community members and elected officials;
● Maintaining the same charity care financial assistance policy;
● Upgrading pharmacy services with professionals well versed in URAC and 340b;
● Continuing to provide services to Medicare and Medi-Cal patients.
