August 6, 1930 – January 14, 2026

David Pace was born on August 6, 1930, in Weymouth, Massachusetts, to Henry David Pace and Ruth Helena Crane. He was the eldest of four children, lovingly paving the way for his sister, Mary Lou, and his brothers, Richard and Donald. David attended Weymouth High School and graduated with the Class of 1948.

In 1950, David answered the call to serve his country and was recruited into the United States Marine Corps. He was stationed at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, where he worked on LVTA tanks, an experience he carried with pride throughout his life.

Following his military service, David moved to California, first settling in San Francisco and later in San Jose with his first love Jeane.

There, he began a long and dedicated career with the United States Postal Service, where he worked faithfully for 32 years before retiring.

In 1981, David was fortunate to find love again and married Dalia, together, they built a life rooted in family and devotion. In 1995, they made their home in Hollister, California, where they helped raise their granddaughter and created many cherished memories.

David Pace departed this life on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ruth, his brothers, Richard and Donald, his first wife Jean Marie and his son David.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Dalia Pace of Hollister, California; his stepson and daughter, Anthony Cravens and Doris Scherschel of San Jose, California; his granddaughters, Kelli Gambee of Boulder, Colorado, and Cassandra Pace of Morgan Hill, California; his sister, Mary Lou Raples of Weymouth, Massachusetts; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

David will be remembered for his dedication to family, his service to his country, and the steady, hardworking life he led. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
