Georgana Gularte

1935 – 12/21/2025

Georgana Gularte slipped away peacefully at home with loved ones early on the Winter Solstice, December 21 at age 90. Georgana taught elementary school for several years, raised two sons and worked with her husband Richard in the family real estate business.

Georgana was an active participant in the community until her final illness. She was a leader in the SJB Historical Society, the VFW Auxiliary, the Native Daughters of the Golden West, the Library Auxiliary, and previously, the SJB Planning Commission & Historic Resources Board, and the San Benito County Heritage Commission.

Georgana welcomed everyone to her historic home, loved lively conversations, and kept in touch for many years with old friends and quite a few former students.

She is survived by her sons Ross Gularte and Chris Gularte (wife Miranda), her grandchildren Lukas, Vienna, Gavin, Gianna and her sister, Bonnie Campbell. She was predeceased by her husband Richard A. Gularte in November 1995.

Services will be private, but there will be a gathering to remember Georgana on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. at the San Juan Bautista VFW Post 6359, 58 Monterey Street. Â
