May 2, 1989 – November 30, 2025

Manuel Grimaldo, a beloved son, brother and friend, 36 passed away suddenly on November 30th, 2025.  Born on May 2, 1989, in Hollister, California. Manuel was a graduate of San Benito High School in 2007, he went to serve his country in the U.S. Air Force immediately after graduation, where he went on to become a Biomedical Engineer. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 2007-2020, including numerous deployments to Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan and volunteered for deployment on behalf of a fellow Airman. As well as deployments to Germany, Haiti, South America, Istanbul, South Korea and many more. During his military career Manuel went on to receive multiple medals and awards for his service including a global war on terrorism service medal, Korean defense medal, Humanitarian service medal, an Air Force Achievement medal with 2 oak leaf clusters, an Air Force outstanding unit award with 4 oak leaf clusters, Nato Medal, and An Afghanistan campaign medal with 3 service stars along with many other commendations  with various oak leaf clusters. Manuel was a dedicated San Jose Sharks fan; he loved to play darts and go fishing. He never failed to conquer a recipe he saw a picture of, and it was always delicious. Manuel was a man of few words; however, he had an abundance of love for the ones close to him. He is survived by his mom and his sister Casalyn (Adam) and many aunts, uncles and cousins, some of whom he was very close to. He is preceded in death by his Nana, Tata Chavez, Grimaldo grandparents, and numerous family members from the Chavez and the Grimaldo families. Services for Manuel will be held on December 19, 2025, at Sacred Heart Church at 11:00 a.m. with military honors, with a celebration of life to follow at the Veterans Hall.
