Bill passed away in Hollister at the age of 83. He spent a lot of time on the ranch in San Juan as a boy. He always enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. As a young man he joined The National Guard. A few of the many jobs he had after returning were working at DeRosa Auto Body and Gabilan Welding. He then worked for Caltrans for over 30 years before he retired, followed by working on the family cattle ranch in Paicines for the remainder of his life.

Anyone who knew Bill would know that he was a, “Jack of all Trades”. If something was broken he could fix it and that is why he got one of his many nicknames, “MacGyver”. Bill may have had a gruff exterior but was very loved and will be missed by many.

Bill is survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sara May.

A heartfelt thank you to Charles, Mae, Devin and staff at Whispering Pines Inn for your kindness and compassion in caring for Dad.
