Get ready for another round of rain.

Showers will continue through Wednesday Dec. 5, decreasing from north to south by Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

The amount of rain forecast for San Benito County this week won’t quite match what the area got last week (more than three inches in some places). A tenth- to a quarter-inch is expected in most locations, except a half-inch to one-inch of rain in higher terrains.

Skies are expected to clear up by Friday and slightly warmer temperatures are in the forecast. Another storm system is expected to arrive Sunday night.

According to the Hollister Police Department, sandbags are available for residents at the following locations:

For San Benito County residents:

  • San Benito County Public Works Yard at 3220 Southside Road

For City of Hollister residents:

  • Hollister Public Works Yard at 1321 South St.
  • Hollister Fire Station 2 at 1100 Union Road
  • Hollister Airport at 60 Airport Drive
