Les Schwab Tire Centers continues to expand in California with the grand opening of its new Hollister location, its first in San Benito County. The public is invited to the three-day event starting Thursday, Sept. 15.
The grand opening celebration of the McCray Street location features giveaways, food, savings and fun while supporting local businesses and organizations, the company said.
The San Benito County Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon on Saturday, Sept. 17. Thursday through Saturday, Les Schwab will have a bounce house and slide as well as a prize wheel that attendees can spin to win San Jose Sharks tickets, Premiere Cinemas movie passes and other Les Schwab prizes.
Community members can stop by for a barbecue lunch served Thursday and Friday by the Hollister Ag Boosters and on Saturday by Ameripride, Les Schwab’s uniform provider. Local favorite Ohana Shave Ice will also be on site on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Spanish radio station KPRC 100.7 FM will broadcast from the store on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and KDON 102.5 FM will broadcast on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
While customers enjoy the festivities, they can take advantage of Les Schwab’s free Pre-Trip Safety Check, which includes checking tire pressure and tread depth, visual alignment, brakes, shocks and battery.
“We’ll provide a fun atmosphere and giveaways that families can enjoy together,” said Hollister Les Schwab manager Alan McNamee, who has been with the company for 14 years. “This is a great way for us to meet our neighbors and introduce the Hollister community to what Les Schwab is all about: service to our customers, our employees and our communities.”
As part of the grand opening, customers will receive discounts on Les Schwab tires and services at the Hollister location.
“The store offers the complete Les Schwab experience from the moment a driver enters the parking lot,” NcNamee said. “We’ll greet you at your car, show you a wide selection of tires to meet your safety and driving requirements, and explain our free warranties for brakes, custom wheels, alignments, batteries, shocks and struts.”
While the Hollister store is the first Les Schwab Tire Centers location in San Benito County, the company has expanded recently in Northern and Central California, most notably reaching 18 stores in the Central Valley this year.
