About 150 people came to hear candidates speak at the Election Forum Oct. 11 at San Benito High School Auditorium.

BenitoLink, San Benito County Farm Bureau and Youth Alliance hosted a nonpartisan general election forum Oct. 11 and will host another forum Thursday, Oct. 18. The free forums are held at San Benito High School Auditorium at 6:30 p.m. 

About 150 people attended the Oct. 11 event and 98 surveys were turned in to BenitoLink staff. The following results come from this informal survey. Please note that this is a very small sampling taken on-site and turned in at the election forum.

Oct. 18 Election Forum Schedule

BenitoLink, San Benito County Farm Bureau and Youth Alliance will host another election forum Thursday, Oct.18 at 6:30 p.m. The free forum will be held once again at the San Benito High School Auditorium. Youth Alliance has arranged for free English to Spanish translation via headphones and a “Kid Zone” for local parent attending the event. The forums will also be recorded on video by media partner CMAP and will be published on BenitoLink and CMAP-TV. Forum hosts appreciate sponsors: Community Foundation for San Benito County, SBC Eyecare and Benito Valley Farms for supporting free, nonpartisan election forums and helping with the cost of the CMAP video production for the community’s benefit.  Thanks also go out to San Benito High School for the opportunity to use its auditorium.
