Hi there,
Like many of you, I am concerned by the Trump Administration’s recent flurry of actions that would direct federal agencies to pause the disbursement of almost all federal funding.
As this apparently illegal scheme gets presented in different iterations or moves through the courts, I am following the possible enactment closely. The scheme would cut off virtually all federal funding for some basic services that Congress has appropriated funds for (such as Head Start, scientific research, domestic violence programs, just to name a few).
I would like to collect information from nonprofits, organizations, local governments, and institutions in CA-18 that may be impacted. Please fill out the form below to report a pause in federal aid so my office can be in touch and do our best to ensure our communities receive all committed funding appropriated by Congress.

And let me remind you: Congress, not the President, has the power of the purse. Actions to freeze funding appropriated by Congress represents a lawless attack on our system of checks and balances. I will never stop calling out and fighting against unconstitutional actions, by this or any Administration.
