Downtown Hollister is coming to life with vendors ahead of the Independence Day Motorcycle Rally, which is scheduled throughout the historic business district from Friday morning through Sunday evening.

On June 28, Hollister Police Chief David Westrick posted to his Facebook page that “the rally is moving into downtown Hollister.” He said some city parking lots would start to close on Wednesday evening, as vendor “load-in” is scheduled for late Wednesday into Thursday.

“Most side streets will be completely closed then,” Westrick said. “Thursday afternoon, San Benito Street will close.”

The rally starts at 9 a.m. Friday morning, July 1 and runs through approximately 5:30 p.m. Sunday, July 3.

“Be safe, make good choices, and have a great time,” Westrick said.
