One of the biggest takeaways from the weekend, Westrick said, was that for the first time in its history, the event sold out each day.
“We had amazing community support all weekend, excellent vendors and almost professional level competition in each performance,” he said. “It was an incredible event and we are excited to get started working on next year’s performances.”
All three days of the Horse Show and Rodeo were packed with events and activities for all ages, including rope slacking, bull riding, cattle sorting, halter classes, live music, beer and wine tastings, equipment shows, and a cowboy barbecue dinner and dance.
The BenitoLink Internship Program is a paid, skill-building program that prepares local youth for a professional career. This program is supported by Monterey Peninsula Foundation AT&T Golf Tour, United Way, Taylor Farms and the Emma Bowen Foundation.
