BenitoLink is introducing you to a community-wide event coming up May 15 called San Benito GIVES. It focuses on our county and is aimed at improving the quality of life for all our residents. The annual fundraiser culminates on May 15 and will support over 30 local nonprofits. BenitoLink will have a San Benito Gives page and is one of the nonprofits taking part in the annual event.
 San Benito GIVES is more about a joint community effort and getting involved to improve your community than about seeking large donations. It’s focused on individual donors contributing on whatever level they can from $10 on up.Â
There will be incentive prizes for donations made on May 15. However, if you cannot participate on the campaign day, May 15, the San Benito GIVES webpage is open today and will accept your donation until midnight May 15. One of the keys to a successful campaign is the energy brought by the nonprofits. Without your involvement, your favorite nonprofit may not be eligible for the special offers.Â
This year, Monterey Peninsula Foundation is giving San Benito GIVES a boost with $10,000 in prize money. There will also be $27,000 in matching funds and special gifts.
The final results of this community effort will be shown on BenitoLink after it comes to a close, one minute before midnight May 15.
BenitoLink special Disneyland opportunity
This year, BenitoLink has a special offer for donors during the San Benito GIVES fundraising event. Donors will automatically be entered in a drawing for 4 Disneyland tickets at a total value of $640. You can be a small donor of $10 or a sustaining member committing to a monthly amount and you will have an opportunity to win*. *You do not have to donate anything to take part, just drop your name, phone number and address to be part of the drawing.
