The Superior Court of San Benito County will host its first Adoption Day Celebration on Thursday, November 20th, in honor of National Adoption Month.
The day will begin with a private adoption hearing where local families will finalize their adoptions. Following the hearings, the Court will hold a public celebration from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the upper level of the San Benito Courthouse. Families that have finalized adoptions through the court in recent years or anyone who is interested in adoption are invited to attend.
The celebration will feature a book display hosted by the San Benito County Free Library, offering adoption-themed stories, family-friendly activities, and community resources.
Families will also be invited to help create the Courtās Adoption Tree by adding their first names and adoption dates to leaf-shaped stickers. Together, the leaves will form a tree celebrating the families who have been formed through adoption.
Adoption Day is an opportunity to raise awareness about the need for adoptive parents and share information about the adoption process. The Court invites the public to join in this special celebration to honor families and the many individuals who make adoption possible.
