VTA will continue construction on the US 101 / SR 25 Interchange Project during the week of Sunday, December 21, through Saturday, December 27, 2025. Drivers should expect lane shifts, temporary traffic controls, and possible nighttime work in the following areas.

Where Work Is Happening:
US 101 & SR 25 Interchange Area.
Northbound US 101 on-ramps and off-ramps.
SR 25 near US 101.
Southbound US 101–Eastbound SR25 Connector Bridge area.
Route 25 / US 101 Separation structures.

What Drivers Can Expect:
Overnight work to install a temporary traffic signal at the SR 25 / US 101 interchange.
Shifting lanes and cones along SR 25 and the northbound US 101 on- and off-ramps.
Concrete barriers and safety cushions are already set up to keep traffic separated from construction areas.
Ongoing bridge construction near the new connector and overcrossing structures.
Slower speeds and narrower lanes while traveling through the construction zone.

Some work may pause on December 25–26 due to the holiday, but traffic controls will
remain in place.
Night Work:
Certain electrical and signal-related work will occur overnight to reduce daytime traffic impacts.
Night work may include lighting, noise equipment, and construction vehicles entering/exiting the roadway.

What Drivers Should Do
Slow down and follow posted speed limits.
Allow extra travel time, especially during peak hours.
Watching for changing traffic patterns.
Stay alert for workers and construction equipment.
