United Way is proud to be the lead agency partnering with five local nonprofits uniting our community during the 12 Days of Giving initiative to benefit CASA of San Benito County, Chamberlain’s Youth Services, Community FoodBank, Emmaus House, and Sun Street Centers.

The annual United Way of San Benito County Gala “fund a cause” raised over $10,000 during the live auction at this year’s event! Donors started the bidding at $2,500 to support this important initiative. This event is always lively and continues to a $50 bid, so that everyone has an opportunity to make a difference for these local nonprofits during the holidays.

“UWSBC is very happy to lead this cause, and the funds raised at the Gala will be used as a match for the participating nonprofits,” said Director Vicki Fortino.

In addition to those funds, local businesses have stepped forward providing additional sponsorship funds; all of which will be used as a match for donations made to CASA, Chamberlain’s, Community FoodBank, Emmaus House and Sun Street Centers.

The 12 Days of Giving campaign will start Dec. 1 and run through Dec. 12. Our community is invited to donate during this time, to one or all of these nonprofits!

The funds will be distributed after Dec. 12 and will be used to help our most vulnerable residents during the holidays and beyond. Donations can be made to the individual organizations through the links provided, or to be split between all five nonprofits through United Way of SBC at https://www.unitedwaysbc.org/12-days-giving-1
