12 Days of Giving Wrap Up

Annual holiday campaign raises over $152,000.

Collaborative fundraising effort 12 Days of Giving announced its 2018 campaign raised over $152,000 for local nonprofits this past December.

“This campaign has grown immensely since the early years… six-seven years ago,” President/CEO for the Community Foundation of San Benito County Gary Byrne mentioned during the Sponsor and Supporter recognition event held last week.

Credit for the collaboration goes to Bob Tiffany, who, with the support of the Community Foundation for San Benito County and United Way, developed the campaign with the intention to support local nonprofits providing essential services to children, individuals, and families in San Benito County during the holidays and beyond.

Participating organizations include: CASA of San Benito County – providing advocacy, support, and resources for foster children; Chamberlain’s Children Center – providing a home-like environment for at-risk foster youth needing a higher level of care; Community FoodBank for San Benito County – providing nutritional assistance; Emmaus House – providing shelter and assistance for women who are victims of domestic violence; and Sun Street Centers – providing affordable sober living environments for men and women recovering from addiction.

“We are incredibly humbled and grateful to the partners, sponsors, supporters, and individuals who contributed to the 12 Days of Giving,” said Esther Curtice, executive director for CASA. “It is evident that San Benito County truly cares about those in need.”

A recent press release acknowledged those who provided matching funds, making the 2018 12 Days of Giving campaign the most successful to date:
